Our New Challenge
This is going to be a one stock challenge/ you will find it below.
We will be creating a scene using the stock image provided and additional stock.
(This is not a portrait challenge)
You can create any scene you see fit as long as the stock provided is one of the main images. Make sure she is large enough to see, don't hide her or cover her up with other images.
Remember this is a FANTASY challenge so be magical. use extra stock that you would find in a fantasy picture, be it mythological creatures or places.
Challenge Stock .
You must us this image in your manip!!!!!
Due date for the challenge is Tuesday, January 26th.
Please watch the Countdown Clock on our HOME page for the exact time of the challenge in your area. Late entries will be added to the gallery but will not be accepted for the competition.
Build Your "Winter Fantasy" Challenge Entry By Using These Expectations:
I want you to create a background for this challenge;
NO PREMADES Use appropriate stock, textures, and brushes to create your backgrounds.
You must use any additional stock of your choice to carry through the theme. This time, I'm allowing you to use as many additional stock as you feel you need . Still, really make your entry interesting to look at.
Unless stated, no monochromatic (everything done in different shades of the same color) color schemes.
Don't forget the group policy about "airbrush/painting", and other ways to get a "painterly effect" on your photo-manipulation. If you are unsure, you can read all about it on the group's HOME page.
Please be creative. Very important. Still, be careful. You don't want to be "overly" different. It will only confuse the judges.
As always, you can enter 2 deviations into the challenge. Each entry must use different required stock and different additional stock.
All Level Winners in the "Competitive" category will win stock prizes.
Let me know if you have any questions before you get started on your deviation.
What are you sitting there for? Make your choice of stock and get going!
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR DEVIATION IS
A. First, in the Artist's Comments box, make sure you post that your deviation is for the "WINTER FANTASY" Challenge at ManipulateThis and include our icon.
B. Second, have the level you're entering under (Level 2 for Beginners, 3 for Intermediate, and 4 for Advance) with the info above in your "Artist's Comments". If you're not sure about the level, please read a description of each level in the rules.manipulatethis.deviantart.com/…
Choose your level carefully and accurately. A wrong level can affect winning the challenge.
If you're a new member and I've suggested a level for you, please participate under that level until you and I decide it's time for you to move up a level.
C. Then submit your deviation by selecting "Contribute Art" in the menu on the Home page of the group, or from the "Submit To Group" link on the right hand side on the page of your original deviation. It must be approved before it's placed into the FEATURED gallery. I always move from the FEATURED to the challenge folder, so don't worry about that.
Remember, deviations that are NOT for the challenge will be declined.
D. You will receive a confirmation message at your art account if the entry was accepted or not. If it was declined you will receive a comment with the decline entry telling you why.
If there is time, you're allowed to edit your deviation or start again. An edited deviation will change the original if you use the "Edit" link on the page of the deviation.
IMPORTANT!If the above happens and you do not delete the original deviation from your gallery, please send a group note so that I know to remove the original entry.
