'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the net

Not a creature was stirring, deviant nor deviette;

The wish lists were taped to the chimney with care,

In hopes that St. Fella soon would be there;

The stockers were nestled all warm in their beds,

While visions of textures pranced in their heads;

And mom in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,

Turned off our computers for a well deserved nap,

When from out on the lawn there came such a sound,

I sprang from the bed to see what was going down.

And to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and hid my stash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Threw textures galore to objects below,

When, what to my devious eyes should appear,

But a digital mascot, and eight senior reindeer,

With a little old driver, so bright and yella,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Fella.

More rapid than eagles his admins they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, snowmask! now, znow-white! now, Moonbeam and Vix0r!

On, shebid! on kkart! on, wynnesome and chix0r!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

So up to the house-top the admins they flew,

With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Fella too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard above the house

The clicking and clacking of everyones mouse.

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

Down the chimney St. Fella came with a bound.

He was dressed all in deviantwear, from his head to his toe,

And his clothes were all covered with gradients that glowed;

A bundle of stress balls he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;

He had a broad face and a little round belly,

That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the wishlists; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."


we were up all night, with this in thought. This morning, I sprang from my bed... SORRY.. I was trying to enter a Christmas contest only to find out it was for a song, not a poem. My Bad. Oh well hope you all like it just the same.
